Columbus, OH Zumaya Publications of Burnaby, British Columbia, announces the release of A Picture Perfect Kid The Story Behind the Carol Lindley/Joshua Wolf Murder Case, a true crime book by Carol A. Guy.
"On the afternoon of Saturday, May 6, 2000, in a quiet rural area of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, 16 year old Joshua Allen Wolf murdered Carol Jean Lindley, his 56 year old grandmother, by shooting her through the head with a .22 caliber Ruger semiautomatic rifle. What followed was a weekend spending spree that ended with an arson fire meant to cover up the crime.
While the murder occurred in Cape Girardeau, the seeds were sown in Westerville, Ohio, near Columbus, where Carol and her husband Bill had lived for most of their lives, and where they had raised Joshua since early childhood. Joshua and his grandparents were well thought of in their suburban neighborhood, and after the move, Joshua was quickly making new friends. So, what made this young man, who neighbors often described as a "picture perfect kid" pull the trigger?
This book explores the events leading up to the murder, the crime itself, and the attempted cover-up. It also details the bizarre twists and turns the investigation took as authorities tried to separate the truth from the web of lies they were told."
Carol is a former newspaper reporter, who has also had numerous articles and short stories published. She also writes a monthly column for the Freelance Writing Organizational International newsletter Newswatch and is the editor of the Zumaya Publications' newsletter. She now resides in Columbus, Ohio.
